During my language study trip in Taormina, Sicily, I enjoyed several local excursions. Together with my language study colleagues from the Babilonia Language School I hiked to the top of Castelmola. I also explored Isola Bella, a beautiful stretch of Mediterranean coastline at the foot of Taormina.

Here is a compilation of video clips of my excursion to the ancient town of Siracusa in Sicily. The trip was guided by a teacher from the Babilonia Language School in Taormina, and about 15 international language students participated.

May 1, 2007: Italian Labour Day and a perfect opportunity to rent a car and drive into the Italian countryside. We first visited the Gole di Alcantara, stopped off in a mountain-top village of Motta Camastra and continued our local explorations on the Sicilian highlands.
