Three days of summer in London, England.

Florence Italy Florence is a beautiful city I think we visited most of the places we had heard about and the tourist areas, but have to return and just experience the city itself. We visited the Santa Maria Del Flore Duomo (Cathedral) where we were allowed to take pictures and also Michelangelo’s David where no pictures were allowed, but it is great piece of art that you have to see in person. Finally, after a two year break from skiing, we were ready to get on the slopes again. We got started a day late, because of the humongous snow storm on March 8, 2008. During our 10.5 hour drive to Bethel, Maine, we must have seen about 40 cars and tractor trailers in the ditch between Toronto and Montreal. Thank god we made it alive. We finally arrived at our comfy condo for the week and settled in for a nice March break getaway.

Skiing at Sunday River was fabulous. The resort extends over eight different mountain peaks, its 110 trails cater to every level of skier and its 10 lifts whisked us to the top in no time. Weekday skiing is great since we literally skied right up to the chairlifts, hopped on and headed for the peak. No lineups whatsoever!

The weather was great for most of the week, and the views from the top of the mountains is gorgeous. I would say this was definitely some of the best East coast skiing I have ever experienced.

This video clip was taken during our Virginia fall vacation on October 5, 2007. After three full days of out-of-town excursions we decided to relax and take it easy for a change. In the afternoon I rented a mountain bike at the Massanutten Resort and cycled up into the hills surrounding the resort. After a solid 50 minutes of sweat-inducing exertion I finally arrived at the top of the mountain ridge. There is a great lookout area on top of the mountains on the west side of the resort and I had a great view into the eastern portion of the Shenandoah Valley. Massanutten is a four-season destination that offers 14 ski runs with a vertical drop of 1,110 feet. The resort also features two golf courses and a driving range as well as a water park.
