La Basilica della Madonna di Loreto

Padua Italy While we were on our way to Florence by Tour bus (Tour companies call them motor coaches) and we stopped over at Padua to see San Anthony’s Basilica, San Joseph’s and have lunch. Then we were back on our way to Florence. Padua also had a nice park with monument to some of its Great citizens. Italy Rome. The Vatican city is the residence of the popes and the smallest independent state in the world, an enclave surrounded by Rome. It dates back to the Lateran treaty of 1929, when the area around St Peter's basilica was set up as an independent state run by the catholic church. The Vatican city contains St Peter's basilica, St Peter's square, St Peter's Church, the Vatican museums and other areas.

Rome Italy The people of Rome seem to like to dress up; I have never seen so many people so nicely dress in one city before. Rome of course bring to mind the ruins of the old Rome from its glory days and the Vantage Tour people took us on a Motor coach (Bus) Tour of the city which was very informative and I put on www.traveljar.com/bellrich with the full narrative. We also went to the Vatican which was over crowded and if I wasn’t with a tour I would wait until the afternoon to visit when the tours were over. I think the best part of our tour of Rome was the one we did on our own. If you do that tour the ruins first and get tickets for both the ruins and the Colosseum and avoid the crowds at the Colosseum.
